I happen to love bicycling and The Tour de France. I recognized that the Tour de France has such similarities to life in general. It’s 23 days long and has 21 “Stages” and 2 rest days. So how is that like life? The 21 days caught my eye and made me realize that if we can do anything for 21 days we have a great chance of changing our behaviors. The riders have to traverse many mountains - some are “easy” and some are steeper and longer than the dickens. Our lives have mountains of many different types. Then there are stages that are flat - things are free and easy for us and we think we’ve conquered the world…but, alas, then along comes either a “sprint” where things are coming at us fast and furious, or another mountain rears its head. Many of our weight management issues are related to our belief systems - values and ideas that are literally “stuffed” down inside of us from childhood on from many sources. We have to dig them out and examine them. Only by identifying what’s going on with us will we be able to change. That’s one premise for the Tour de Life Weight Management Program. The other is that it’s very difficult to be successful in changing your habits if you don’t prepare and practice. Do you think those bikers ride 2100+ miles without any practice? Heck no. They train and train and practice techniques that help them get up the mountains and then back down them in adverse conditions etc. I know that when I stopped smoking, I had to give myself a few weeks to prepare what I was going to do at the times I really “needed” a cigarette. If I had not planned any of that I would have failed. Instead, I set a date to stop and had an armament of tools to combat my old beliefs. So we have to “train” - we have to figure out what techniques we’ll use, what questions we’ll ask ourselves and how we’ll deal with additional stresses etc. Planning and Preparing. That’s what we want you to do with us over the next 2 months. We want you to train for the Tour de Life for 3 weeks and then participate in the Tour de Life for 23 days over the December holidays. Why are we doing it over the holidays? Well, it’s a good way to look at yourself and your beliefs and goals for the upcoming new year. But it’s also a great time where you just “know” you’re going to have alot of mountains in your life. And there’s even one in the “training” period (Thanksgiving) for you to work with. Of course, you also have the option to make the major holidays “rest days” so that you will be able to enjoy yourself. The other reason for doing it over the holidays is that most people (even if they are not overweight) have difficulty avoiding gaining weight at this time of year. This program will help them too. We want you to prove to yourself that you are able to conquer your weight issues by delving deep into yourself, your beliefs, and your goals. But most people can’t make long term changes by themselves. They really need help. Tour de Life will provide you with that - we have an entire website that has a forum which you will be strongly encouraged to participate in - you can ask for help dealing with your issues or temptations and more importantly you will be giving help to others - an essential part of your program. The Training phase for the Tour de Life will be from the 21st of November through 11 December 2008. The actual Tour de Life will be from the 12th of December 2008 through 3 January 2009. You will receive multiple items: - A workbook - a guidebook to explain much of what you’ve experienced all your life when struggling with your weight. It will also explain this system. - A Hard Copy Journal (or you can download the word document) - you can write in the journal or type in it as the days and weeks go by. There are leading and questions to help you find out what you need to know. - Affirmations and Denials for various situations where eating (or your weight) is an issue. - A specially made Tour de Life Software Program where you can record your goals, your beliefs, your mountains and your daily progress. This is a really cool program I had specially made for the Tour de Life. As you may have guessed, we also plan to implement the Tour de Life concept in other aspects of your life. What does this cost? Nothing in terms of money. Time and desire to look into yourself and your past - yes. Is this a diet and exercise program? Not at all. There are way too many diets out there and none of them work for everyone. It’s more what you put in your mind than in your mouth that matters to us. We trust everyone who participates in this program to have a fair amount of experience with “diets”. That is not what this is all about. No one can “diet” forever. But we can change our thoughts and beliefs forever. And that will then change our eating and exercising as we move through our discoveries. Who will know about your participation? Only those you tell (and we don’t recommend you tell very many people around you at all). The major support you should hope to receive will be from other Tour de Lifers! People who are going through the exact same process as you are. Please note that access to this site will require registration as will access to My Tour de Life - this may get to be irritating when you have to give the info for these sites but the point is to ensure privacy for you during the program. I am not going to do anything weird with your info. Getting Out of Debt Teleseminar - Part 2

Last week’s teleseminar on Getting Out of Debt was an amazing hit! We were really happy to be able to help so many people with an understanding of debt consciousness, techniques to use for discovering where your debt consciousness came from and affirmations to counter that and replace your belief systems with the prosperity consciousness.

Because it was such a success, we’re going to be doing part 2  this coming Thursday.

 a. Beta level is like an active computer - it overrules  changes - your mind is not receptive to words, ideas, change

 b. Alpha level is your relaxed, peaceful, light sleep, dream state - your mind becomes receptive

 c. Theta level  is your deeply relaxed state (deep sleep, coma) - your mind completely accepts direction and change

 d. Delta level -  preferences active upon awakening - instant change when awakened.

2. How to get to these different levels.

3. Where you can find tapes, cd’s, etc.

4. What else you can do.

"News at 11.......Be Prepared Before You Tune In"

Teleseminar This Coming Thursday - 4 September 2008”

Have you ever wondered why you say things or act the way you do? Have you ever thought something or said something and then asked yourself “Where the heck did that come from?” as if it had just popped out of no where?”

We are so programmed by others that it’s almost frightening - until we realize that we actually CAN do something about it. We operate based on our belief systems - we all know that by now. But where do those belief systems come from?

Not all of us are acutely aware of that answer - most of our beliefs were created/embedded by the authority figures of our past - parents, teachers, religious figures, close friends, etc.

In this day and age we are continually influenced by those around us and if we do not keep an attentive eye/ear on what is constantly streaming into our subconscious minds, we are subject to what is being placed there. If you watch the News at 11 (the nightly news), there is very little good or positive information given. At least here in San Antonio, they report the fires, the accidents, the murders, the thefts locally and then go on and on about horrible events in the country.

Look at politics even - we’ve resorted to “Don’t vote for Joe Blow because he’s crooked or dumb or inexperienced etc”, not “Vote for me because I have done x or I will do…..”.

We must break this constant input of negative thinking and programming if we are to live a happy and successful life. Now, don’t be thinking that we want you to go into a plastic bubble or anything. We just think you should be prepared with the proper techniques before you watch all that programming (notice they call it “TV Programming”).

You should be prepared so that you can listen but choose not to be internally affected by everything that’s put out.

  • Some of what will be discussed on this teleseminar includes:

    —Creating and Accepting your desires as your authority

    How to program your subconsious to reject words, attitudes, action that oppose what you have determined for your own life.

    —Reactions that cause interference with our dreams.

    Refusing to let other people opinions cause you to doubt your ability to demonstrate your goals,

    —Explaining/Countering/Refusing race consciousness.

    Becoming aware of other peoples statements you don’t want in your life.

    —Instructing your subconscious to refuse negative thoughts, behavior, feelings.

    Ordering your subconscious to maintain constant awareness of your direction to refuse comments of others.

    —Directing your subconscious to prevent fear thoughts of lack.. physical, emotional, financial.

    And, affirmations for all of the above.

Anne's INTA Report!

INTA as always, was a fantastic event.   This year was wonderful beyond words.  (I say that every year)           
We had 4 days of fun.  I like to say what I most liked about the Congress.  This year it was a tie on everything.   Leaders of each of the New Thought Organizations were speakers. The music was the best ever.  The afternoon workshops were informative.  Everything was well attended.  The banquet used the same theme that we used in 2000 when we hosted the Congress in 2000 with similar decorations of a Western theme.  Everyone was encouraged to wear western clothes…. especially at the Banquet where Country/western music and dancing was provided.
 
What I liked most of all was the time we had between speakers to renew friendships, make new ones, welcome and introduce ourselves to people attending for the first time and just enjoy the company. 

 The whole experience was delightful and I am already looking forward to next year.  As soon as we have date and location I will put them here so all of you can plan on attending.  
 
And by the way, I’m back on the INTA Executive Board after my 1 year of vacation. So,   I will be there with you.  

I hope you all have been listening to the new series of Working With The Law based on the book by Raymond Holliwell. Combining the time it took for me to make it and the time it took for Terrie to do all she has to do to put it on our web page,  I hope you listen to it several times.  

This morning I was talking to another person about the number of times we had read the same book or listened to the same c.d. over and over again and each time heard something new.  It is amazing how each time we read or listen, we get to a new and different level of understanding.  I still listen over and over to anything and everything and reread the same books over and over.  Each time I hear or read something new. Or, understand something better.  

Next week I’m attending the Divine Science Convention in Kansas City all week.  Will have more to report after then.,
